The new server will pull the old server mail. Your email address will REMAIN the same. Also.. we have an ONLINE mail reading program now. You can reach it by typing in your browser address line: HTTP://WEBMAIL.RKFD.COM or just webmail.rkfd.com This will work from any computer. After you are logged in just click the mail button on the left. If you delete any mail from this location you must click the "purge deleted" button on the upper right to fully remove the message. Now... for those who want to try to change the settings on their own - here are some instructions: 1. We want to create a new Dialer. Instructions to follow: Go to the control panel.. Double click on internet options. Click the Connections Tab. Click Add The next option will be the top of list choice or the Dial up button.. depending on what version of windows you have. Here are the new DIALER numbers for your computer to dail: The new phone numbers are ROCKFORD ... 1-815-986-4186 Cherry VAlley 1-815-580-4001 New Milford 1-815-873-7003 Belvidere 1-815-566-3003 Rockton 1-815-957-4028 The name for the connection (Dialer) is RKFD.com Your ID or login name and will be your whole email address using all LOWER case letters along with your password. example whoever@rkfd.com and enter your password. If you do remember it just call. This should get you on the internet. No other settings need to be done now with the new dial in server. 2. Email settings - changes Get into your email program. Outlook Express or Windows Mail. Click tools at the top. In the drop down window click Accounts. your account should be highlighted. If not click on your account name then click properties. make sure your email address is whoever@rkfd.com click the Server tab at the top. make sure the server name is mail.rkfd.com for incoming and outgoing. If not then change it.. If you can not change it.. you will need to delete the account and rebuild a new one MANDATORY make sure your user name ( identy )and password is in lower case letters Your email name is only the first part of your email address. (email account only) NOW.. you must put a check in the bottom box which says " My Server Requires Authencation " This check is required so you can send mail. as well as lower case letters on the login name. Some of you have locked in the dialer name.. Check and make sure your dialer name in the email account is the same as the one you just made. Click the connections tab in the properties to the right of the server tab. click the down arrow and select the new dialer name - that is unless your computer has asked you to check email on the present connection You may want to check anyway.
